Samet Island, Rayong --- The White Sand Beach ...

Where do you like to go when you feel tired? For me, sea with white sand beach is the place I firstly think about. Huh! I live in Bangkok but I don’t want to spend lots of time go to the south sea. Well, what about the east sea? Umm…where should I go? Pattaya? Not for now because it is too crazy for me. I prefer an island with white sand beach, clear water, not too crowded. Let me think for a while. Aha! Samet Island! Yes, it should be Samet Island. Good idea!

Samet Island is only an hour's ride from Pattaya by Road, 17 km east along the coast from Rayong, is the village of Ban Phe, the jumping-off point for the ferry ride to the island of Ko Samet. The island has beaches that surpass Ko Samui and Phuket of in quality of sand and cleanliness. The sand is of such a fine quality it is often used by commercial companies to make glass products. Believe it or not! There are several coconut plantations on the island. It's virtually uninhabited, except for some local fishermen. Guided tour includes a visit to Haad Sai Kaow, Tawang, Ao Paro or Wong Duen beached where we can scuba, windsurf or fish for the day. It sounds like fun! Catch your own lunch-groupers and sea bass are plentiful. There are lots of overnight accommodations here from five star hotels to trendy tent on the beach or in the nearby area of National Park---fee is Bt200 for foreigners, Bt20 for Thais---so don’t be worry!

Where do you plan to go for your holiday? Have a sunshine day!
